Our kids can now add the Oakland Zoo to their list...Along with the San Diego, Boise, Brownsville, San Antonio, Houston and Niagara Falls Zoos...
We really like the Oakland Zoo. The Bats were the highlight...We had never seen mega-bats before...They also really liked the "Bug House" where they saw a whole colony of tree cutter ants and a Black Widow spider ---
The Zoo has a little park next to it with a nice train and some other rides. It is close to our house so probably will become a frequent destination.
